Trevor and I had a lovely stay at Christiane and Robin’s delightful cottage which nestles in a beautiful and tranquil part of Scotland. The house is cosy and comfortable and the views from the kitchen make the soul sing! We enjoyed the wonderful birdlife thronging the garden and two of the quartet of red squirrels also dropped by to say hello. We spent the time walking around lanes, lochs and footpaths and refuelling at the excellent cafes and restaurants nearby. There’s lots to do whether you are a fresh air fan or like your home comforts and we made sure to leave lots on the list for the next time we visit!

Chrissy and Robin live in an enchanting part of Scotland. Their property sits beautifully in amongst beautiful nature and the love that they both have for their home and garden is visible wherever you may cast your gaze.

Their warmth and hospitality allow me to feel very welcome when I am there and the breathtaking scenery makes my heart sing!

Christiane and Robin are the most amazing hosts. Christiane cooked delicious food, which was the perfect treat after a long day walking in the beautiful surrounding hills overlooking the loch. It was such a relaxing and rejuvenating retreat, and I highly recommend it to all. This is one of those ‘best kept secrets’. You won’t be disappointed!

I received such a warm and friendly welcome. The accommodation feels like it’s a home from home. I felt like I was treated like an old friend rather than a paying guest. With Christiane’s local knowledge of this beautiful part of the country,  I got to explore some hidden gems. I hope to return for another visit someday soon.

What a wonderful experience it was to stay with Christiane and Robin. They welcomed us into their home in a warm and friendly manner, and always ensured we were comfortable, spoilt, and well cared for.

Their home is a spacious, lovingly restored example of Scottish country living. The garden is a delight and the views from their property are spectacular.

Each night we enjoyed a lovely meal around the dining table sharing conversation, music and the occasional sweet indulgence. They are very knowledgeable about walks around the local area, Scottish culture and history. Anyone wishing to experience the beauty of the Scottish landscape will find very capable and experienced guides in Christiane and Robin.

What a wonderful and memorable experience! The area is absolutely beautiful, located in the middle of exquisite nature and filled with a wide range of amazing things to see and places to explore… gorgeous waterfalls, shaggy Highland cattle, stubborn sheep, mysterious lochs, the serene ocean, charming communities, dark forests and even prehistoric ruins. But what truly makes this place exceptional is Christiane and Robin. They are gracious, caring, fun, cheerful and always helpful and thoughtful. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay with them!
